Great pace, great story, great time! I really enjoyed reading Video Wars and felt like I was actually part of the action. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone )
I loved this book! Any parent who has a child who they think spends too much time playing video games needs to read this and give this to their kid. Rory is a 13 year old boy who has shut out his family and the real world and replaced them with video games. His grades are affected, he has almost no interaction with his family or friends, and he has come to treat the characters in the video games better than the loved ones around him. In a weird moment Rory gets his sucked into the game he is playing, and meets the characters. No longer is Rory the 13 year old boy who is a pro at sharp shooting, he is a scared kid in a grown mans body thrust into a combat situation in Vietnam.
Here is a shout out to the author....GOOD JOB! Please make this a series. There are a lot of "Rory McBreens" out in the world who may learn a much needed lesson.
I really enjoyed the book. The pace was steady and the way it was written I got pulled into the story and had a hard time putting it down. There were moments in the story that I could visualize myself in it. I was like an observer seeing what was going on but nobody could see me. I would recommend this book to everyone. And I will be on the lookout for more books by KK Hale.
